Innovative New Programming For Transition Age Young Adults (TAYA)

My Friend's Place is extending the safety net for Transition Age Young Adults (TAYA) ages 25-30 experiencing homelessness, providing developmentally appropriate care to prevent disconnection and meet these young people's unique needs so that TAYA can heal, resolve their experience of homelessness and reach their full potential.

Our innovative new programming for TAYA, which is rooted in brain science and trauma-informed care, will provide vital support to more than 100 TAYA accessing care at My Friend’s Place this year. The TAYA pilot program at My Friend's Place incorporates skill development, community building, clinical case management, advocacy, and system navigation support.

A tremendous need exists for these services, and there are no other known services in Los Angeles specifically designed to meet the unique needs and leverage the unique strengths of TAYA. In January 2022, My Friend’s Place launched our TAYA pilot program with the goal of serving 50 TAYA in the first year. By June 2022, we had already served 52 TAYA.

Your gift can help us reach our goal of $75,000 by November 15th, which will provide essential support for 100+ TAYA accessing care at My Friend’s Place this year.

Please consider a gift to support TAYA programming at My Friend's Place. Before November 15th, your gift of support for our TAYA Programing will be MATCHED, dollar for dollar, up to $75,000
