Popcorn 11: Writing & Artwork by Youth at My Friend's Place

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and global uprisings for racial justice, youth at My Friend's Place have utilized creative writing and visual arts to process, reflect and engage with the current state of the world. Now more than ever, the creative arts workshops offered through our Transformative Education Program have become a critical outlet for self-expression, supporting youth as they navigate these uncertain times. In volume 11 of Popcorn, we are honored to once again amplify the voices of youth experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles, and share their creativity, perspectives, words, and visions through the Popcorn zine.
